Icelandic Sweater Class

Class Date: Sunday, January 26th (first class, 5 part class, see other dates below)
Class Time: 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Join us as we learn to knit a traditional Icelandic sweater. Participants will learn the stranded colorwork technique and how to knit in the round.
This class will meet a total of 5 times. Each meeting will explain how to complete each portion of the sweater. Participants are encouraged to complete each segment of the sweater between class meetings in order to complete the sweater.
The classon January 26 will include an introduction to Icelandic Knitting, a discussion of color theory, choosing yarn colors, choosing yarn type, determining the size of your sweater, and knitting a gauge swatch.
Materials are not included in the class fee. The fee covers the instruction portion of the class only. The suggested yarns include Icelandic Lopi or Brown Sheep yarns. Participants will place their order for the yarn at the first class meeting.
